Women's bodies in this country have become wounded territories marred by violence. Everyday life and its social dynamics have reached irrational levels of incoherence. Sexual violence against girls, adolescents, young women, and adult women has become a systemic reality that is normalized and perpetuated.

Statistics reveal the dire situation in Guatemala. Risk, danger, and abuse have become part of daily life. However, this truth has been silenced and rendered invisible over time. In general, the population disregards and underestimates these issues, which also leads to rejecting any effort made to acknowledge and address them.

The conditions necessary for a life of dignity remain stagnant. There is no system in place that guarantees the protection and reparation of Guatemalan girls and women, and each year brings a more hostile reality for them.

In response to apathy, indifference, impunity, and normalization, this project sows its first seed with the hope of growth. Its purpose is to make the truth visible, heard, attended to, and repaired.
